Quality Surveillance and Inspection

Initial Production Check
This inspection
takes place at the beginning of manufacturing, with the goal of making
sure that the customer's specifications and reference sample are
well-understood by the vendor.
The inspection
focuses mainly on the presence and quality of the components and materials
used in the production process, but also includes a visual check of the
quality of packing materials and accessories. The inspector will also
check the first production run if it is to be done while he is on site.
The Initial
Production Check allows an early (and thus cost-saving) prevention of
defective components and provides the opportunity for timely corrections
if needed.
During Production Inspection
The production
is inspected at random after at least 25% of the order has been completed,
to ensure that contractual obligations regarding product specifications,
packaging, packing and marking are being met.
If improvement
recommendations and rectification advice have been given during an Initial
Production Check, the During Production Inspection will check whether this
advice has been followed successfully.
More generally,
the During Production Inspection allows recommendations to be given
on-site, so that quality is maintained throughout the entire production
phase, and helps monitor whether the expected production capacity needed
to complete the order on time is being achieved.
Pre-Shipment Inspection
This inspection
is carried out when the goods ordered are ready for export packing.
Samples are
selected at random, according to acceptance quality limit (AQL) sampling
standards and procedures or the client’s specifications.
The inspection
ensures that the production is in accordance with the specifications,
purchase orders, or letters of credit.
Container Loading Check
This inspection
is carried out in the manufacturer's warehouse or at the forwarder's
premises.
First, the
inspector checks the quality and quantity of the goods to be shipped to
make sure that the right products will be delivered.
The inspector
then monitors the entire loading phase to ensure that containers are in
good condition and that the entire cargo is loaded according to the
quantity specified in the purchase order.
Laboratory Testing
In addition to quality inspections, products sometimes require a formal
certification of conformity based on local regulations or the client’s
specifications. IICS – DK efficiently manages the testing of production samples
in liaison with local independent laboratories or, alternatively, by witnessing
the testing at the supplier’s laboratory.
Management Services
We offer assistance with QA/QC, quality surveillance, and integrity and
inspections planning of existing plants.
